Family tree

Where do I come from? Well I only know partly where I come from. Considering I do not know my father.

I'm going to start with my grandmothers side. First of my Great grandma was adopted so the only information I have is from her adopted parents side. And They were form Germany. They came to the United States on a ship in 1850. There religion was Baptist and Methodist. They came to the United States too farm and make money.

On my grandfathers side They were from France and England. And there religion was Mormon. Grandma had mentioned that on grandpas side she believes that their were kings and queens, but she wasn't sure.

And that is all I could find out about my Family. Wish I new more.

Day 3

The speaker for the day talked about Muslim religion. I found it interesting that they pray five times a day and the prayers were to purify themselves not just mentally but also physically. They can pray any where, most will us a rug, or anything that marks sacred place.

I think the most interesting part of class is when we were talking about polygamy.
I like how the professor addressed to the class that latter day saints do not do polygamy any more. I was raised as a mormon and I usually do not let people know that just because people start questing me about polygamy. And most of the time I do not know how to respond just because I do not follow up on my religion. But I do like hearing what others think about my religion, it can be very interesting.

Having a speaker in class about another culture is a very good idea. I really enjoyed learning more about Ukraine. I found it interesting that they go by the older calender, and have Christmas in January. The Videos for the day were interesting. I wish that they were more up to date. So the class discussions are fun. I mean I never say anything, but its very interesting to listening to peoples views on things. And man do people get into it.

Goals

The first goal that i have for this class is to learn how other cultures are different from my own. My second goal is to learn enough about others cultures so I know how to approach someone and not offend them or feel acquired.

What I would like to get out of this class is how to socialize with other cultures without offending anybody.
